The Herdwick Inn is a charming, traditional 18th century Lakeland dining venue and pub, set in the quiet Cumbrian village of Penruddock, just off the main A66 Penrith - Keswick road.

With stunning views over towards the Northern Fells of the English Lake District, including Blencathra and Carrock Fell, this is a wonderful place to spend quality time. Situated midway between Penrith and Keswick, and only 4 miles from Ullswater, the Herdwick is the perfect base for exploring all areas of the Lake District National Park.

Our restaurant is well known locally for the quality and imagination of its food and our bar serves some of the best kept Jennings real ales in the Lakes.
