Our Traditional Lakeland Bar...

Cosy Bar with Open Fires

We pride ourselves on serving some of the best real ales in the area, serving a selection of well kept Jennings' beers, a regular guest beer, as well as the usual range of keg beers and lagers. We have "Cask Marque" accreditation for the quality of our real ales, which reflects the emphasis we place on storing our ale correctly

Wine Lovers are well catered for too as we have an extensive wine list of quality wines from France, Australia, Chile, USA and all over the World.

Jennings is the local Cumbrian Brewery based in Cockermouth, just 17 miles up the road on the A66. We serve a wide range of Jennings Ales such as:-

Best Bitter
Cumberland Ale
Cocker Hoop
Crag Rat
Cross Buttock Ale
Sneck Lifter
JJ No.1
Old Smoothy
Cumberland Cream Ale
Red Breast (in Winter)

We also try to have at least one guest real ale available. We also serve such firm favourites as Carlsberg, Kronenbourg and Bitter Smooth, Guinness, and Strongbow cider.

For whisky drinkers, we stock a selection of malt whiskeys from all over Scotland to suit every taste. We also have a large range of spirits, as well as soft drinks for those not wishing to partake.

For sunny days, we have a quiet beer garden and patio at the rear of the pub.

We serve delicious Lunchtime Meals between 12 noon and 2pm from our excellent Lunchtime Menu. Or for those wanting a slightly more formal experience dinner is available from our Evening Menu served in the mezzanine Restaurant (6pm-9pm). Food served all day at weekends.
