The Herdwick Inn has an excellent reputation in the Ullswater and Penrith area for good food, from our hearty Lakeland breakfast to our home cooked meals which are served either in our intimate mezzanine restaurant or the cosy Bar.

Our Menus are always interesting and varied. Dishes make full use of seasonal and local produce and are freshly prepared in our gleaming kitchen. An ever growing number of regular diners, both locals and tourists, together with numerous guide book recommendations are testament to the kitchen team's abilities.

Vegetarians are also well catered for with a large selection of vegetarian options available on our menus. We also have an excellent Sunday Carvery which is proving to be very popular indeed.

While you're out working up an appetite in the clear Lakeland air, or having a relaxing drink in the bar, we're busy in the kitchen preparing wholesome, tasty dishes for you to enjoy.
